Abstract
The exact etiology of tubal pregnancy is obscure, the most widely accepted theory for which is that residues of tubal inflammatory disease.
The gravid uterine tubes of 50 patients with tubal pragnancy have been studied microscopically for the evidence of residues of antecedent tubal inflammation.
Results;
1. Not only adhesion between plical folds of mucosa but also fibrosis of the muscle layer and subse.1¢¥,, rare considered as histological proves of, residues of antecedent tubal inflammation.
2. Sixty-six per cent of our series tubal pregnancies were found to have such evidences of residues of tubal inflammatory disease..
3. Among these histological changes follicular salpingitis accounted 50 percent, perisalpingitis .12 percent, and salpingitis isthmica cases.
